About the event

Health Economics involves the application of economic principles and methods to study the production, consumption, and distribution of health and healthcare. Economic evaluation is a framework to examine the value for money of any health technology and service, through providing evidence-based approaches to jointly consider cost and effects, and ultimately improve the sustainability in allocating limited resources for health. This predictive brain health modelling session aims to introduce the role that economics plays for modern-day research. Firstly, attendees will consider the issue of there being limited resources and the need for rational choice. In the second part, Trépel lab will present ongoing research demonstrating the role Health Economics plays in the field of brain health.
