About the event

Cian Judd, PhD student with the O'Connell Lab, will lead this workshop entitled "Neurally informed insights into speed-accuracy adaptations in older adults". This work presents a series of novel techniques aimed at creating neurally informed and constrained models of the perceptual decision making process. Neural indices of the decision process are used to inform and constrain traditional drift-diffusion models, enabling more accurate between-group comparisons. Through this traditional mathematical models are grounded in, and supported by observable and measurable neural signals.
